Looks like AT&T is at it again. They’re in the business of making money so it’s not a surprise. Basically they’re trying to get companies to pay them so that data traffic used in their app isn’t counted toward the customers data cap. For example, let’s say Facebook was part of this deal then any data used within the Facebook app would not count towards your data limit. Simple as that. Sounds like a great idea right? No! It’s not a good idea at all. Basically what ends up happening is companies that cant afford to pay AT&T will get left in the dust. It eliminates competition from stay up companies. This means Facebook doesn’t have to work hard or be innovative. The Internet is supposed to remain open. What AT&T is doing is not open.
