How To Speed Up Chrome On Android

08 Jul

I don’t know about you guys but I do a lot of random searches on my phone. I also use Chrome as my default browser. It’s simply the best browser for Android, especially when you are signed in from your PC as well as on your device.

One thing that frustrates me about Chrome is that when too many browsers are open it begins to slow down. Naturally you would think because it’s taking up more of the phones memory. Well I have the Galaxy S4, it has plenty of memory. The problem isn’t with the phones memory, it’s with what chrome allows the app to use. Which is only 128mb by default. Powerful devices such as the S4 can handle much more.

The solution is simple. Copy and paste this: chrome://flags/#max-tiles-for-interest-area into a blank tab within Chrome. Then you may change the default memory and restart the browser. Don’t mess with any of the other songs unless you know what you are doing.

Now Chrome will work much better and not limit you when you are working.
